Williamson County, with a population of approximately 175,000, is to the south of Davidson County with

Wilson County was selected as the eighth-best place to live in rural
America in 2005 by Progressive Farmer magazine. It is home to the
Nashville Motor Speedway and the Cedars of Lebanon State Park. The
major cities of Wilson County included Mt. Juliet, Lebanon and
Watertown. The population of Wilson County is 106 thousand and it has
20 public schools and three private schools with an approximate
enrollment of 15 thousand students. Dell Computers is one of the
biggest employers along with Cracker Barrel Corporation.
Sumner County is north and east of Nashville proper, with a population

150 thousand. Hendersonville was settled in 1784 and in 1790,
William Henderson settled in and became the city's first postmaster.
When Old Hickory Dam was finished in 1954, the city began to grow into
the most populous city of Sumner County. The beautiful lake offers not
only lake front home sites, but other wonderful water sport
activities. It is no wonder that some of the most famous country music
stars call Hendersonville home. Johnny Cash and Conway Twitty put
Hendersonville on the map years ago, but now teen sensation, Taylor
Swift calls Hendersonville home along with other luminaries like The
Oak Ridge Boys, Marty Stuart and Ricky Skaggs.

With a population of over 250 thousand, Rutherford County is easily one of the largest counties in the greater Nashville area. Murfreesboro is the sixth-largest city in the state, and the largest city in Rutherford County by far. It has a population of over 100 thousand all by itself. It is home to Middle Tennessee State University, which has the largest undergraduate population in Middle Tennessee. Several Civil War battles were fought on the city's soil, including the Battle of Stones River, which is now a designated National Battlefield site.

Robertson County boasts some of the quaintest little towns north of the city of Nashville. With a population of about 62 thousand, it includes Springfield, the county seat, and Adams, Cedar Hill, Coopertown, Cross Plains, Greenbrier, and White House to name a few. Coopertown, which derived its name from a large cooper shop, made barrels for the Red River Mills Distillery in 1874. Robertson County distillers were producing 45,000 barrels of whiskey annually.

Clarksville is a city famous for its history and is home to Fort Campbell home of the 101st Air Borne military unit. These brave men have fought for the USA is many wars, and they are still considered one of the best trained units in all our military history. Presidents and dignitaries are frequent visitors to this military base, with President George Bush having just recently made a Thanksgiving visit to welcome some of the troops home from Iraq.
Spring Hill Real Estate

Maury County, population approximately 78,000, lies just south of Williamson County and has one of the fastest growing cities in the state, Spring Hill. Fast growing
Spring Hill real estate straddles the Williamson and Maury county line. The town came to national recognition when Saturn automobiles were built there. General Motors recently retooled the plant to build a crossover sports utility vehicle. There is a lot of history in Maury County.

Dickson County Tennessee, with a population of approximately 46,000, is north-west of Nashville. It is home to the communities of Burns, Charlotte, Dickson and White Bluff. This beautiful rural type area has the oldest county courthouse still in use in Tennessee. The Dickson County Courthouse was built in 1833. Dickson is the largest city in Dickson County, with an approximate population 12,233, is the hometown of former Tennessee governor Frank G. Clement.
